Child Crisis Arizona Receives $250,000 Grant from The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation to Strengthen Services for Vulnerable Children and Families.

Child Crisis Arizona has received a $250,000 grant from The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation to strengthen the organization’s ability to provide critical prevention, intervention, and wellness programs for vulnerable children and families throughout Arizona.

“This generous investment allows us to respond wherever the need is greatest, whether helping a child find safety, giving parents the tools they need to succeed, expanding access to early education, or ensuring young adults leaving foster care have the support to build independent, successful lives,” said Torrie A. Taj, chief executive officer at Child Crisis Arizona. “Together, we are creating lasting change that will benefit Arizona families for generations.”

The grant allows Child Crisis Arizona to invest where needs are greatest across its continuum of care, including emergency shelter and residential services for children and youth from birth to age 21, foster care and adoption, early education, parenting education, family support, counseling, wellness services, and independent living programs for young adults transitioning from foster care.

This partnership extends beyond just financial support. Renee Parsons recently visited the Child Crisis Arizona Center for Child & Family Wellness to participate alongside local families in a musical movement class hosted in partnership with Rosie’s House, experiencing firsthand how the center fosters healing, connection and resilience for children and caregivers.

“My recent visit to Child Crisis Arizona was filled with the kind of joyful moments that stay with you, but it also reinforced just how essential this organization is to our community,” said Renee Parsons, Co-Founder of The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation. “They understand that supporting a child means supporting the entire family, and for nearly five decades they have been an invaluable source of care, stability and hope for Arizona families.” Celebrating nearly 50 years in the Valley, the organization serves children and families experiencing or at risk of abuse, neglect, housing instability, family disruption, or the absence of a safe caregiver through a comprehensive continuum of prevention, intervention, and wellness services. Those services include emergency shelter and residential care, foster care and adoption, early childhood education, parenting classes, counseling, family support programs, wellness initiatives, and independent living services that help young adults successfully transition from foster care into adulthood. By investing in both immediate intervention and long-term prevention, Child Crisis Arizona works to break cycles of abuse, neglect, and poverty while strengthening families and building more resilient communities.
