Go Daddy Founder Bob Parsons Donates $1 Million to Semper Fi Fund for Injured Service Members.

The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation Pledges Support to Charity for 2nd Straight Year
WASHINGTON DC (October 9, 2013) – Semper Fi Fund is thrilled to announce that The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation has made a $1 million donation to the charity, helping provide critical financial support for injured and critically ill service members in their time of need. For the second year in a row The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation has pledged its support for the veteran non-profit organization, to which it has donated a collective $2.8 million. These funds will assist service members in all branches of the military, through Semper Fi Fund and its program America’s Fund.
The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation was established in 2012 by award-winning business leader Bob Parsons and his wife Renee and has awarded $28 million in critical funds to charitable organizations to date. Though best known as the founder of Go Daddy, Parsons is also a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and a recipient of the Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and Purple Heart Medal. Through their philanthropic work, he and Renee continue to remain “Always Faithful” to the men and women who serve; their most recent gift was a $1 million donation to the University of Baltimore to establish a The Bob Parsons Veteran Center.
Semper Fi Fund, and it’s program America’s Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support for injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families, directing urgently needed resources to post 9/11 service members. In the ten years since it was established, the charity has given out more than 63,000 grants totaling over $81 million to service members and their families—and their needs will only continue to grow.
“We are so grateful for the incredible support we’ve received from Bob and Renee Parsons, whose generosity is only matched by the size of their hearts,” said Karen Guenther, CEO of Semper Fi Fund. “Their donation will touch the lives of countless service members and their families, and on their behalf, we thank Bob and Renee from the bottom of our hearts.”
